PDG Joey Benedicto (D-3830) - a non-politician - has been endorsed by the administration party (LAKAS) to run for Congressman in the 2nd district of Cavite in the coming elections. The 2nd district of Cavite covers Imus, Dasmariñas, Tanza, General Trias, Carmona, Trece Martires and General Mariano Alvarez. PDG Joey is a CPA and Chancellor of the University of the East, and has a doctorate degree. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Makati Central and he served as District Governor of RI District 3810 in 1992-93. He could easily be an instrument for injecting Rotary ideals into politics that would result in better service and higher ethical standards in government. There should be more REAL Rotarians like
him in government.
