Our constitution states that education is the right of every citizen and that he or she should not be deprived of such right. It is the only logical thing for a country to do if it wants its citizens to enjoy freedom -- from want, hunger, poverty. In celebration of New Generations month, RI President Bhicahi Rattakul calls on Rotarians to support programs that will provide a better future for our youth. One such project is to promote literacy which is an antidote to ignorance, oppression and crime. Rotarians must know now more than ever, empower our youth through literacy to ensure their and our country' survival.
